Rookie AM (formerly GØLDNRØD) is a producer and rapper from Long Beach, California. Born and raised all over the Southland, he is a generation x holdout debuting with a handful of singles in early 2020.
He is influenced just as much by jazz and psychedelic rock as boom bap hip hop. What started as a hobby with the acquisition of an MPC in 2001 remained that way for nearly two decades, but it was the catalyst that eventually lead to an EP and full-length album as well as a heady sound that is truly his own.
